Yemen General Insurance
Company (YGI) was established during February
1977 by participation of a group of
prominent businessmen the forerunner
of whom was Thabet Brothers Group of
Companies who undertakes various industrial, commercial & service activities
inside and outside Yemen.
The Saudi Arabian
Insurance Company (SAICO) joined in the establishment
of the Company in
representation of the Arab Commercial Enterprises
Group (ACE).
With its Head office in
Sana'a, the Company started its
operations with a
capital of Yr. 5,000,000 in Hodeidah and successfully grew
to a fully paid
up capital of Yr. 1,000,000,000 in 2010, underwriting all
classes of insurance
including life.
We have a team of
qualified Yemeni technicians trained in Switzerland,
Germany and England
serving various insurance departments who are
not only keen to meet with our
client’s needs but to offer consultancy
service as well.
We have established new branch for for all classes
of insurance business.
YGI is an ISO certified Co. (ISO 9001-2000 in
2005 and ISO 9001-2008 in 2010.)
